Winning in a Downturn - The HR Challenge

In this session, global futurist and award winning speaker Rohit Talwar shared critical findings from his current research programme on Winning in a Downturn. Rohit described the most innovative and effective strategies and tactics being adopted by businesses that are actually thriving in the current turmoil. His talk covered the following key topics:

• How might the downturn play out?
• How is business responding?
• What are the implications for HR - motivation, development, learning, recruitment?
• What are the next wave of trends and challenges we need to prepare for?

Rohit Talwar is a futurist, specialist adviser and strategic change agent and the founder of the research and consultancy organisation Fast Future. He was profiled as one the top ten global future thinkers by the UK’s Independent newspaper. His book Designing Your Future was published in August 2008.
Rohit is currently running a research programme on Winning in a Downturn.
