The session was supported by our UK plc research into the links between business performance and employee engagement. The six levers of employee engagement are: 1. Clarity of organizational purpose, vision, strategy and brand 2. Engagement capability for the line 3. Engaging leaders (who are personally equipped to engage others) 4. Engaging people inclusively in big ticket change 5. Organizational communication which nurtures inclusion and dialogue 6. Measurement which tracks real engagement not satisfaction
In the course of the day we: Unpacked and explored definitions of engagement and the real drivers of engagement Explored the links between engaged employees, engaged customers and the bottom line Developed the six levers which deliver engagement Helped delegates to create a platform for engagement in their organizations
Speakers: John Smythe and Dr Andy Brown John is a Partner and Deputy Chairman of Engage Group. Before joining Engage, John founded Engage for Change, an employee engagement consultancy that advised organisations on managing change and raising day-to-day business performance. John also co-founded SmytheDorwardLambert, a consultancy that established an industry standard for how organisations communicate with stakeholders. Andy is a Partner at Engage Group and leads the analytics business. He works mainly with FTSE-100 and Fortune-500 companies, conducting strategic organisational research to ensure clients align their people with their strategies. Prior to joining Engage, Andy was MD of Organisational Consulting at YouGov plc, a Partner at Mercer Consulting and Head of Research at Gallup. This Research Briefing will take place at the National liberal Club, One Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE. Coffee will be served from 1.45pm and the session will start at 2.00pm ending at 5pm. A cover charge of £170.00 + VAT (£195.50) per person will be made for HR Society and FISSING Members and their accompanied guests. For Non-Members the cover charge will be £250.00 + VAT (£287.50).
