This session will look at Systems & Process Concepts for Improving Organisational Performance. The aim is to introduce a different way of thinking and analysing of businesses in order to be capable of effecting (radical) change to current business activities as a means of improving overall business performance.

There will be the review of a range of tools and techniques used to design and improve organisations.

The following topics will be included:

  • Systems Thinking
  • Difference between a process and a system
  • Metrics and measures: inputs, outputs, outcomes, and benefits
  • Techniques for process mapping
  • Creation of process templates; IDEF, UML, SSM;
  • Matching capacity & demand
  • A range of issues including queues, bottlenecks, constraints
  • Idealized Design
  • Benefits of process mapping

Attendance at this event is likely to benefit Human Resource Managers and their team members, Workforce planners, Business Analysts, Performance managers.

 

The speaker:

Kees van Haperen has over 15 years' experience in organisational analysis, risk, crisis and business continuity consultancy roles.

He is an exceptional Soft Systems Methodology and strategic thought leadership practitioner. He is conversant with a wide range of Problem Structuring Methods, risk and crisis management and organisational development.

Kees is also a highly capable facilitator, thought leader & change agent, and is a part-time lecturer in Change Management at Cardiff University and a member of Warwick Business School's MSc MSOR Course Advisory Board.

 


This event will take place at One Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE. Coffee will be served from 10.00am for a 10.15 start and the day will end at 4.30pm.

The per-person fee is £295 plus VAT for members of the HR Society or FISSING, and £365 plus VAT for non-members. A 20% discount will apply to the second and subsequent participants from the same company attending the same event.
